First a letter from T.H. Wyatt to the President and Council sending a memorandum on his grandfather's status as President of the Academy, 29 Oct 1896. Secondly the response of the Academy secretary stating that the Council think it merely a historical matter. Thirdly a letter from
R. Norman Shaw revealing that the Council discussed the memorandum and thought James Wyatt not a full President of the Academy.
