Our Courtyard Café, located outside Burlington House, is open seasonally and serves drinks and light snacks in the open air. It is currently closed for the winter but will return in the spring.
Located on the lower ground floor, the Keeper’s House is a dedicated members-only space. It includes the Friends Café located in the Sir Hugh Casson Room and Belle Shenkman Room where tea, coffee, drinks and snacks are now available.
The Academicians’ Room is open to members, serving a selection of drinks, lunch options, and small plates.

The RA Café is a decadent space, with its walls adorned by murals created by Royal Academicians through the ages. The renovated café offers a space to rest and enjoy a quick bite, a mid-exhibition break, afternoon tea or a long leisurely lunch.

A buzzy, vibrant and informal Spanish café by José Pizarro. The menu will include several of his classic smaller plates, all perfect for sharing.
On Friday evenings enjoy a complimentary pintxo with selected drinks ordered from the bar.
Located to the right of the main entrance at Burlington House, the Keeper’s House serves as a welcoming “home away from home” for Friends of the RA, Patrons, Royal Academicians and visitors. Inside you’ll find a café and a cosy bar with its own secret garden. The walls of Keeper’s House are adorned with a revolving programme of RA Editions, presenting works for sale from Academicians and other invited artists.
Found on the lower floor, the Shenkman Bar features a delicious light-bites menu with our favourite truffle fries, as well as an ever-changing cocktail menu.
On Thursdays and Fridays, the Shenkman Bar will be open until 9pm and will offer a monthly food and drink pairings making it the perfect destination for post-exhibition refreshment.

Bright and friendly, the Sir Hugh Casson Room has a vibrant atmosphere and is the perfect stop-off for coffee, cake, or a light bite between exhibitions.

Adjacent to the Sir Hugh Casson Room, the Belle Shenkman Room is a more intimate lounge. With its velvet mohair chairs, it’s the perfect place to sit and while away the hours with spectacular views of the garden.
During the warmer months, we open up a hidden garden that can be found through the lower-ground floor of the Keeper’s House. Designed by renowned landscaper Tom Stuart-Smith, this art oasis houses our very own “fifth plinth”, currently featuring work by Ann Christopher RA.
