Artist and writer Edmund de Waal gives a tour of his new project in the RA Library and Print Room.

For his latest project, potter Edmund de Waal has selected an unusual group of objects to be displayed in the Library and Print Room of the Royal Academy, a space hallowed with history and previously unexplored by the general public.
In an intriguing exploration of the colour white, objects including a sculpture by Cy Twombly, a painting by Giorgio Morandi, an edition of Laurence Sterne’s 1759 novel Tristram Shandy and Kazimir Malevich’s revolutionary teapot are placed throughout the library, which remains a working space for Royal Academicians, scholars and RA staff. Here, the artist introduces his project, and discusses some key works from the exhibition.
