Family fun: time to rhyme at the RA

Published 2 June 2014

If you came down to the RA last Sunday, you were sure of a big surprise…

  • Families brought much-loved nursery rhyme characters to life with techniques old and new. Our storyteller wowed with tales and re-imagined rhymes from around the world, while children used iPads to illustrate the action. Kids were transformed into colourful characters, and our models joined in with the costumed fun, dressing up as Little Red Riding Hood, bears and more!

Check out a few masterpieces from the workshop below, and download our worksheet to try your hand at making a colourful panpipe that The Pied Piper would be proud of!

  • A lovely way to spend a Sunday morning! A very instructive, fun art session. The staff were particularly encouraging and supportive. Excellent idea for budding artists!

  • Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful opportunity to spend a lovely morning with my child, doing some creative activity. A great chance to express ourselves and to spend some quality time with the little one. We both loved every minute, a fab Sunday morning.
