A panel of eminent speakers discuss the role of culture in designing and delivering major infrastructure projects.
Our experience of cities is determined to a large degree by infrastructure – its benefits and its deficiencies. The success of the London 2012 Olympics showed what could be achieved in combining sporting and cultural activity with massive infrastructure improvement. Two years on, a panel of eminent speakers discuss what role culture can play in humanising the way these massive investments are designed and delivered.
Panel:
Sir John Armitt (Chair, Olympic Delivery Authority)
Vivien Lovell (Director, Modus Operandi)
Charles Freeman (Director, Charles Freeman Projects)
Jolyon Brewis (Chief Executive, Grimshaw)
Chair:
Tim Marlow (Director of Artistic Programmes, Royal Academy of Arts)
Includes a cup of tea or coffee.
