Published 24 February 2017

The RA and Pin Drop bring you a very special evening of readings by two of Britain’s leading actors of the stage and screen, Dame Siân Phillips and Dame Eileen Atkins, drawing from the best Russian literature.

  • In this exclusive joint appearance, Siân Phillips and Eileen Atkins read selected works of exceptional Russian literature, marking the 100-year anniversary of the Russian Revolution. The readings conclude with a Q&A chaired by Pin Drop founder Simon Oldfield.

Eileen Atkins is the multi award-winning actress best known for her roles in critically-acclaimed film and television roles including Gosford Park, Cold Mountain and Cranford. Siân Phillips is known for her roles in iconic series I, Claudius (for which she won a BAFTA) and Goodbye Mr Chips, and her widely-regarded performances on the stage, most recently receiving rave reviews in Les Blancs at the National Theatre in Summer 2016.
