In this video, artist Aono Fumiaki talks about his work born out of the wreckage of Japan’s 2011 tsunami, on show in this year’s Summer Exhibition.

    Artist Aono Fumiaki lives in the Sendai area of Japan, which was hit by the massive tsunami of 2011. In this video, he talks about the art that he made in response to this devastating natural disaster, and the importance of restoration or “re-birth” in his work.
