Turkish artist and filmmaker Kutlug Ataman is renowned for his large-scale, multi-screen video installations. In this year’s Summer Exhibition, his work THE PORTRAIT OF SAKIP SABANCI – made up of 10,000 LED panels – hangs suspended from the ceiling of Gallery I.
In this video, the 2004 Turner Prize nominee talks about the origins of the work, which was commissioned by the Sakip Sabanci Museum in Istanbul.
