We’ve been championing art and architecture since 1768 – from hosting ground-breaking exhibitions and a world-class collection, to nurturing young artists and providing free education in the RA Schools.
As a charity without government funding, the RA has been hit hard by the lockdown. With no income from visitors, we’ve been losing £1m a month, relying on our Friends and supporters and they’ve been typically magnificent.
Now we need to ask for your help. We know this is a tough time but if you can, please donate now or become a Friend. With your help, we can make sure the RA is here for you – and everyone – long into the future.
Every Friend of the RA helps us bring more art to more people. Become a member today to support our future.
For all the benefits of being a Friend and more, join the Academicians’ Room, our private members’ club for artists and art-lovers. Tucked away on the first floor of the Keeper’s House, you’ll find a vibrant and relaxed haven where members can meet, share drinks, conversation and food.
Become a Patron and play a vital role in allowing us to function as an independent charitable organisation. Your generosity will, among other things, support our world-class exhibition programme, maintain our historic Library and Collection, and help provide free tuition for students at the RA Schools.
By supporting the Royal Academy with a gift in your will, you can protect all that the Royal Academy stands for, ensuring that we can continue to be a voice for art and for artists, whatever the future may hold.
Considering a larger donation? As a registered charity, and an independent organisation that receives no revenue funding from government, the generosity of trusts and foundations is hugely important for the Royal Academy.
