The Last Great Adventure is You, Tracey Emin’s new exhibition at White Cube Bermondsey, features the paintings, large-scale embroideries and neons for which she is well known, along with a range of new bronze sculptures - the result of learning the process of lost-wax casting from scratch.

“To actually transform my drawings into something three dimensional, into bronze, was not easy,“ Emin told us when we visited the exhibition this week.

"But I’m just starting to learn how to do it, and I’m really enjoying it. And I think that’s given my work a much stronger backbone and more depth.”

The bronzes, along with a recent return to the discipline of life-drawing classes, have seen her tackle one of her most enduring subjects - the human figure, especially her own - with a renewed vigour.
