For the first time we have joined forces with the British Designers’ Collective to celebrate British talent.

Our collaboration has launched in Bicester Village, a designer shopper’s paradise in Oxfordshire. We want to showcase British fashion designers and the fine art prints produced by RA Editions.
The pieces produced by RA Editions – all of which are produced here, in the Royal Academy Schools, the UK’s first art school – reflect some of the finest printmaking going on today, with works from Royal Academicians like Grayson Perry, Gary Hume, Eileen Cooper, as well as up-and-coming stars like Pio Abad and HaYoung Kim.

The pop-up store in Bicester is modelled on our very own Keeper’s House – a nineteenth century townhouse adjoining our historic home in Mayfair. The Keeper’s House – originally the residence of the Keeper of the RA Schools – was recently restored by Long & Kentish, with interiors designed by award-winning architects David Chipperfield RA, to create a beautiful space beyond the galleries for artists and art lovers to enjoy. Friends of the RA enjoy all-day access to lounges, gardens, a restaurant and cocktail bar.
Visitors to the pop-up boutique have the unique chance to discover some of the most exciting new names in British fashion, alongside RA Editions prints. The prints are all available to buy – and here’s the best bit: all proceeds from the sales go directly to the RA Schools, enabling us to continue to support the next generation of emerging artists.
Find out more and buy the full range of RA Editions prints, or get ready to visit the pop-up Bicester boutique.
Last week we celebrated the launch in both the Keeper’s House and Bicester Village. Where else might you see our own Secretary and Chief Executive Charles Saumarez Smith rubbing shoulders with singer Ellie Goulding?
The British Designers’ Collective runs at Bicester Village until 17 August 2014.
